Job Summary
An automobile company is seeking an honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented Stores Officer to oversee inventory operations, manage workshop consumables, and maintain precise stock documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label, store, and issue stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate bin cards, stock cards, Goods Received Notes (GRN), and issue vouchers.
- Track serial-numbered equipment, tools issued to technicians, and returned materials.
- Perform weekly cycle counts and monthly physical stocktaking; reconcile discrepancies.
- Enforce stock control practices (FIFO/FEFO, reorder levels, and obsolete stock management).
- Ensure strict compliance with warehouse safety, chemical storage, and fire prevention guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- HND or Diploma in Procurement & Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse or industrial stores management.
- Experience handling vehicle parts, refrigeration components, welding materials, tools, paints, steel, fasteners, and workshop consumables is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Physical fitness to operate in an active workshop/warehouse environment.
