JOB SUMMARY
The Research Assistant will support the development of high-quality research, publications, and thought leadership content within MGA Consulting Ghana Limited. The position provides direct research and writing support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the development of professional publications and knowledge products that contribute to leadership, management, sales, governance, and organizational development discourse.
JOB PURPOSE
- To strengthen the firm’s research, knowledge development, and thought leadership by providing analytical and writing support for articles, publications, and research projects.
- To support the development of a book on “Selling in Ghana” and help translate research insights and practical experience into clear, well-structured content.
- To assist with the CEO’s academic research activities while contributing to a strong knowledge base that enhances the firm’s visibility, credibility, and intellectual leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Thought Leadership and Content Development
- Conduct research to support the development of thought leadership content in leadership, management, sales, governance, and organizational development.
- Write and develop articles, opinion pieces, and insights for publication on LinkedIn, websites, blogs, and other professional platforms.
- Translate research findings and practical experience into clear, engaging, and well-structured articles.
- Support the positioning of the firm’s leadership as a credible voice in business and management discourse.
2. Book Development Support
- Assist in the research, structuring, and development of a book on “Selling in Ghana”.
- Conduct literature reviews and gather relevant case studies, statistics, and industry insights.
- Support drafting, editing, referencing, and organization of book chapters.
- Coordinate supporting materials such as interviews, citations, and research sources.
3. Research and Academic Support
- Provide research assistance for the CEO’s doctoral studies, including literature reviews, data gathering, and synthesis of academic sources.
- Support qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Assist with drafting, editing, referencing, and formatting academic materials in line with scholarly standards.
- Track emerging research and publications relevant to leadership, management, sales, and business development.
4. General Research Support
- Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research to support consulting assignments and publications.
- Prepare research briefs, summaries, and analytical insights for internal and external use.
- Maintain organized research databases, references, and knowledge resources.
- Provide any other assistance needed by the CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Marketing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Research Methods, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in research, academic writing, content development, business analysis, consulting, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Experience supporting research projects, publications, books, journals, dissertations, or thought leadership initiatives.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and practical insights.
- Working knowledge of research and analytical tools such as SPSS, NVivo, STATA, Power BI, Tableau, Excel Analytics, or similar applications is desirable.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and digital research platforms to enhance productivity and research quality.
