A reputable Insurance Brokerage firm is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join its leadership team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Business Development Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new corporate and high-net-worth clients for the insurance brokerage. The role focuses on expanding the company’s portfolio through strategic client acquisition, strengthening relationships with insurers and key stakeholders, and delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs.

The position plays a key role in business expansion, client retention, and portfolio growth by leveraging market intelligence, strong negotiation skills, and industry expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate and high-net-worth clients to expand the company’s insurance portfolio.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Promote and cross-sell the company’s full range of insurance products and services.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals and solutions to potential clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, insurers, and strategic partners.
  • Provide advisory support to clients on suitable insurance coverage and risk management solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to strengthen the company’s market position.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the technical and underwriting teams to structure competitive insurance solutions.
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize coverage arrangements.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare periodic business development and sales reports for management review.
  • Track pipeline opportunities, client engagement activities, and revenue performance.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in Insurance or Marketing (e.g., Diploma, ACII, CIIG, CIM) is an advantage.
  • At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in insurance marketing, business development, or brokerage.
  • Proven experience in client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client and insurer relationships.
